Transport Officer
We are recruiting an experienced transport officer for our clients who are an award winning, family run retail company. They have five stores in London and Hertfordshire and two stores in the Republic of Ireland. They have over 200 staff and sell 32,000 different building, DIY, Plumbing and heating products. This position is based in the company’s Transport Office in Watford, Herts.
As they are a family run organisation, they really look after their staff and are offering a very competitive package for this role. They are also extremely well established with nearly 40 years experience in the industry.

- To schedule deliveries
- To liase with customers
- Liaise with drivers and yard staff
- Deal with complaints from customers regarding deliveries
- Various administrative duties
Person Specification:
- Good organisational skills
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Must be a good team player
- Reliable and motivated
- Experience in a similar logistical role would be an advantage
